We present you a brief biography of the arts’ Pylones that we practice.
AIKIDO
Yasuo Kobayashi – 8th dan Aikikai, Shihan
Yasuo Kobayashi Shihan was born in Tokyo on September 20, 1936 and enrolled at the Aikikai Hombu dojo as uchideshi (boarder student) of the founder of Aikido Morihei Ueshiba in 1954. In 1969, he founded his own dojo in Kodaira. He is also responsible for Aikido clubs of Meiji University, Saitama University, and Tokyo Economics University. He is invited regularly to teach abroad in Taiwan, Finland, Sweden, United Kingdom, Canada (Calgary), at Nishida Dojo and Shikanai Dojo in Brazil, Germany and the United States.
Currently, there are more than 120 groups directly supervised or more loosely connected with the Aikido Kobayashi Dojo. In 1987, Aikido Kobayashi Dojo received a medal for excellence in developing martial arts by Japan Martial Arts Association, for its efforts to spread aikido among people.
Kobayashi maintains his residence in the Kodaira dojo in Tokyo.
Kobayashi Sensei holds the rank of 8th Dan Aikikai.
Urban Aldenklint – 7th dan Aikikai, Shihan
Urban Aldenklint Shihan was born in 1954. He began his practice in Aikido in 1977 in Nakaima Aikido Club. He started as a student of Ichimura Sensei and Igarashi Sensei. In 1980 he lived for about a year in Japan for training.
After returning in 1981, he founded the Urban and Ulf Linde Club, building on his experience gained from the Aikido Kobayashi Dojo and the Aikikai Hombu Dojo to develop everything he had learned.
Urban has traveled and trained extensively abroad, having acquired contacts worldwide. He is the president and chief trainer in Iyasaka Aikidoklubb, the club that he runs in Sweden.
Urban holds the rank of 7th Dan Aikikai.
